"This office is simply the best. They are completely professional and respectful of their patients’ time (appointments are always punctual). I also really appreciate the nonjudgmental and conservative approach to dentistry - I have never felt upsold on any additional product or service. I feel very taken care of and have recommended multiple friends to this office. Thanks y’all! Keep it up!"- H.E. / Google / Jul 15, 2021
"I have had many fillings and cleanings here. The service is always very good. The staff are on top of insurance checks/issues. They are great at confirming/rescheduling. Dr. Canesi and his techs are very gentle and patient. The fillings are done well - no issues over the past 10 years. I would highly recommend this office for people who fear going to the dentist or have special requests. Update: I’ve now been coming here for about 15 years, and I still think this is the best dental practice I have ever been to. Every provider is extremely professional, knowledgeable, and talented. They are sensitive and caring. This includes the excellent administrative staff."- K.J. / Google / Jul 07, 2021
"Highly professional team with a heart. The patients are treated with kindness and consideration throughout every treatment in pristine offices with high tech equipment, and some gentle humor. The best of old fashioned doctoring and modern techniques."- M.C. / Google / Apr 06, 2021

Do I Need Porcelain Veneers?
Porcelain veneers may be used to quickly hide stains and chips on your teeth, improve worn down or misaligned teeth, and fix teeth that are unevenly spaced or shaped. At Downtown Boston Dental, we have veneers custom made to ensure they fit comfortably over your teeth for an appealing and natural look. During your consultation, we will talk about your objectives and expectations so we can personalize your procedure. We'll also take a look at your overall oral health to ensure you're a good fit for porcelain veneers. You shouldn't have symptoms of gum disease, or routinely clench your jaw and grind your teeth.
Getting Porcelain Veneers
When you've decided on your unique treatment plan, we will take impressions of your teeth and have your veneers made. Your impressions will be sent to a dental laboratory where your custom veneers will be made out of high-quality porcelain. As soon as your veneers are ready, we will have you come in where we will remove a little bit of enamel from the front of your teeth to allow room for the veneers and enhance the bond for a more natural and long-lasting outcome. Once your veneers are bonded, we may make minor adjustments to get a great fit.
After Getting Porcelain Veneers
Getting cosmetic veneers usually does not require anesthesia so you should be able to resume your daily tasks following your appointment. If you experience some sensitivity to cold and hot meals for a few days, know that it is perfectly normal and should subside naturally. Your veneers should be cleaned just like your own natural teeth with regular flossing and brushing. While cosmetic veneers are resistant to stains compared to the natural enamel, you still need to stay away from foods and drinks that will stain your teeth in order to keep your smile beautifully white. To prevent chipping your veneers, avoid chewing on hard objects, like your fingernails or ice. Continue to go to dental exams and cleanings at Downtown Boston Dental so we can track the condition of your cosmetic veneers, teeth, gums, and general oral health.
Insurance Coverage for Porcelain Veneers
Porcelain veneers are an elective treatment so they are typically not covered by dental insurance. Downtown Boston Dental accepts a variety of payment methods, including medical financing, to make your treatment more affordable. During your consultation, we can customize your treatment to meet your needs, as well as your budget, and can give you a quote for your treatment and explain your payment options.
Don't be afraid to show off your smile with personalized porcelain veneers at Downtown Boston Dental! With an array of treatment options to satisfy your cosmetic goals and dental needs, we can help you enhance the look of your smile with porcelain veneers.
